Day 1 - Arrival Kathmandu

Upon arrival at Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), our representative will meet and welcome the guest. Please note that guest(s) should look the signage with their name once they come out of Arrival Terminal Hall. 

Guest will be transferred to the hotel. our representative will escort the guest up to hotel and will help in check in process at the hotel.

Walking tour of Kathmandu Durbar Square through the old city market (Ason)

Kathmandu Durbar Square (UNESCO World Heritage Site)

Walking of Kathmandu Durbar Square, with its old temples and palaces, epitomizes the religious and cultural life of the people. Here, the kings of Nepal are crowned and solemnized.  Interesting things for visitors to see are Taleju temple, gigantic figure of Kalbhairav (the god of destruction), Basantapur Durbar, and Temple of Kumari (living goddess)

Patan Durbar Square

Patan Durbar Square situated in the center of Patan city, also known as Lalitpur. Patan Square and its surroundings is good specimen of ancient Newari architecture. There are three main courtyards in the palace: Mul Chowk, Sundari Chowk and Keshav Narayan Chowk. Mul Chowk, the oldest one, is at the centre of Patan square. Several multi-sized and multi-styled temples occupy the western part of the complex. Main among these is Krishna Temple, Bhimsen Temple and the Golden Temple of Hiranya Varna. Krishna Mandir, which is devoted to Lord Krishna, is one of the best examples of stone architecture in Nepal. Scenes from Mahabharata and Ramayana (holy Hindu epics) are carved on the walls of the Krishna Mandir.

Day 3 - Drive from Kathmandu to Nayapul and trek to Birethanthi (1070m)

Drive from Kathmandu to Nayapul and trek to Birethanthi (1070m): 7.5 drive and 30 mints trek

After breakfast, drive to Pokhara which is 210 km west of Kathmandu and takes around 6 hrs drive to reach there – depending on the road condition. Again drive continues 45 km for 1.5 hrs to reach Nayapul. From Naya Pul we walk for 30 minutes to get to Birethanti, go upstream behind a ridge on a level of trail to the Fishtail lodges and steel bridge. On the opposite bank of the Modhi Khola is Birethanti, elevation 1070m ,a large and prosperous town with a winding street paved with large stones.. Birethanti boasts many well-stocked shops, hotels, sidewalk cafes, a bakery and a police check posts. Stop overnight at Birethanthi.

 

 

Day 4 - Trek from Birethanthi to Ulleri (2070m)

Trek from Birethanthi to Ulleri (2070m) - 7hrs.

Start trek from Birethanthi beyond a pasture used by pony caravans, the trail reaches Sudami , then climb steadily up the side of Valley , reaching Hille at 1495 m. The trail crosses a stream on a suspension bridge near the camp site at Tirkhedhunga , then drops at and crosses the Bhurungdi Khola itself on a large bridge at 1410 m. The trail climbs very steeply on a stone staircase ; there are no tourist hotels from the bridge to Ulleri, just few bhattis that have tea and cold drinks, as you climb , the tops of Annapurna South ( 7273 m) and Himchuli ( 6441 m ) begin to emerge from behind the hills, The climb continues steeply to the large Magar village of Ulleri at 2070 m. There are hotels in the centre of village, and others above the village where the trail climbs gently through pastures and cultivated fields. Night spend at Ulleri.

Day 5 - Trek from Ulleri to Ghorepani (2860m)

The fields soon give way to deep forests as the trail climbs to Banthanti, a settlement of hotels in a forest clearing at 2250 m. 

Beyond Banthanti, there are magnificent oak and rhododendron forests. The trail crosses two sparkling clear streams, a small ridge and another stream before making a short, final climb to Nangathanti, a hotel complex in a forest clearing at 2460 m. Thanti is a Magar word meaning “ rest house ”. In the winter trail can be covered with snow, and in many places it is sloppy mud, so all sorts of short detours are necessary in this section.

Ghorapani is about an hour past Nangethanti, at 2775 m . There are several hotels in Ghorepani. It is worth staying at the pass to see the spectacular panorama of Dhaulagiri I, Tukuche , Nilgiri, Annapurna South, Hiunchuli and Tarke Kang ( formerly known as  Glacier Dome).

Ghorapani means “Horse Water”, and it is no doubt a welcome watering stop for the teams of horses, mules and ponies that carry loads between Pokhara and Jomsom. The exotic horse caravans, with melodious bells that echo over great distances and wondrous plumes and headdresses on the lead horses, are reminiscent of ancient Tibet.  On a typical day, you will encounter 200 to 300 pack animals, traveling in large trains and ranging in size from huge mules to tiny burros no bigger than a large dog.

Day 6 - Trek from Ghorepani to Poon Hill (3195m) to Tadapani (2600m)

An early morning excursion to Poon Hill, about an hour’s climb, provides an even better, unobstructed view of the high Himalayan range start from Mt. Manaslu, Annapurna south, Annapurna Feng, Fishtail, Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri to Kali Gandaki Valley.

Trek from Ghorepani to Tadapani (2600m.) 4 ½ hrs.

The trails a ridge hides the mountains as makes a steep, sometimes treacherous, descent on a narrow path alongside the stream, as the descent continues. The stream has some clear pools alongside the trail and finally becomes a series waterfalls over a jumble of boulders. The steep descent becomes more gentle way to reaches Banthanti..

From Banthanti, the trail follow the stream down to a bridge where the trails start climbing, leaving the moist high mountain forests and entering a field of cane, making some ups and downs past to a vantage point "Tadapani (2540 metres) that offers a brief view of the mountains. Tadapani means "far water". The village water supply is a long distance, it takes porters more than half an hour to fetch a load of water. O/N in Tadapani

Day 7 - Trek from Tadapani to Chhomrong (2170m)

The trail descends through the forest to the Kyumnu Khola, a tributary of the Modi Khola. From here a steep ascent brings us to Chomrong, at 2,170m, another Gurung village and the last permanent settlement in the valley. Spend night at teahouse.

Day 8 - Trek from Chhomrong to Dovan (2630m)

Descending to cross the Chommrong Khola River by suspension bridge, enjoy some excellent views of Machhapuchare today (now exhibiting its distinctive ‘fishtail’ profile) and Annapurna South. We continue to climb steeply, negotiating a trail that leads us through oak and rhododendron forests until we reach a welcome teahouse on top of the ridge at Sinuwa (2350m). The ascent to Kuldigarth (2470m) is then more gradual, continuing through more lush forest to our lunch stop at the Bamboo Hotel (2340m). This afternoon we continue our ascent towards Dovan, beyond which lies the unofficial gateway into the Sanctuary, walking through wet bamboo forest to reach our accommodation later this afternoon.

Day 9 - Trek from Dovan to Machhapuchhre basecamp(3720m)

The track continues up past the so-called ‘weeping wall’ and the shrine to the ‘God of the Jungle’, to the Himalaya Hotel (2840m). Passing several spectacular waterfalls which cascade down the opposite side of the Modi Khola, we climb through bamboo forest to reach Hinku Cave at 3100m. Crossing to Deorali (3140m) for lunch, we then climb further to pass between Machhapuchare and Huinchuli – the ‘Gates’ into the Sanctuary. Climbing over rocky moraine we arrive at Machhapuchare Base Camp (3720m) later this afternoon. Overshadowed by Annapurna South and the beautiful shape of Machhapuchare (machha, fish’ and puchare, ‘tail’), one of Nepal’s holy mountains, this is a quite awe- inspiring setting in which to end our day’s trekking, the mountain landscapes providing us with a sight to raise the spirits of even the most tired amongst us.

Day 10 - Trek from Machhapuchhre Base camp to Bamboo Hotel (2340 m)

After taking breakfast, we start descending from MBC to Bamboo back through MBC, Deurali, Dovan and finally reach Bamboo. Heading back down to the valley is much easier than climbing up. You will see the waterfalls that drop down from a high point to the rocks below. We pass through the forests with great views of Fishtail and Hiunchuli mountains. Overnight in Bamboo hotel.

Day 11 - Trek from Bamboo Hotel to Jhinnu Danda (1760 m)

We walk through the bamboo forest and crossing a number of rocky avalanche chutes, before climbing up to Kuldigarth and following the contours of the valley around to Sinuwa once more. Descending through rhododendron forest full of noisy birds – mostly Black-capped Sibia, we then cross the Chommrong Khola and make a final climb up to Chommrong village (2060m).

We descend to Jhinnu Danda. We’ll also visit a hot spring today if the time permits.

Day 12 - Trek from Jhinnu Danda to Nayapul ( 1070 m)

Trek from Jhinnu Danda to Nayapul ( 1070 m) Approx 6 hrs walk, 1.5 hrs drive to Pokhara

Trek from Jhinu Danda to New bridge and then to Kyumi village. After lunch, we trek to Syauli bazaar and then down to Birethanti. After about an hour trek from Birethanti, and we arrive at Naya Pul. The trek ends at Naya Pul.

You will be picked you up at Nayapul and approx one hour drive takes you to Pokhara. We check in to our hotel late afternoon. Rest of the day free to wonder around.

Pokhara Valley

Pokhara valley is one of the most picturesque spot of Nepal. The beauty of Pokhara is enhanced by its lovely lakes, which have their source in the glacial region of the Annapurna range of the Himalayas. Situated 200 KM west of Kathmandu at an altitude of 827 meter from the sea-level, for the mountain viewers Pokhara offers a magnificent view of Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchre (Fishtail), five peaks of Annapurna and others. Pokhara is the only place in the world to provide such views in a sub-tropical setting. Machhapuchre, for example, is only 28 km from Phewa Lake and not a single mountain range intervenes between the two.

Phewa Lake, the second largest lake in the Kingdom, is the center of all attraction in Pokhara. It is the largest and most enchanting of the three lakes that add to the resplendence of Pokhara. Here, one can sail or row a hired boat across the lake to visit the island temple in its middle. The eastern shore, popularly known as lakeside or Baidam, is the favorite home base for travelers and is where most of the hotels, restaurants and handicraft shops are located.

Day 13 - Fly from Pokhara to Kathmandu

Morning sightseeing tour of Pashupatinath Temple & Boudhanath stupa

Pashupatinath Temple (UNESCO World Heritage Site)

Pashupatinath Temple is the most sacred Hindu shrines in the world, lies 5 km east of the city center. The richly-ornamented pagoda houses the sacred linga, or phallic symbol, of Lord Shiva. Chronicles indicate the temple’s existence prior to 400 AD. Devotees can he seen taking ritual dips in the holy Bagmati river flowing beside the temple.

Boudhanath (Little Tibet) – UNESCO World Heritage Site

Boudha is among the largest Stupas in south Asia. It has become the focal point of Buddhism in Nepal. The white mound looms thirty – six meters overhead. The Stupa is located on the ancient trade route to China. Tibetan merchants rested and offered prayers here.

Afternoon transfer to Bhaktapur & visit Bhaktapur Durbar Square

Bhaktapur is known as the open ‘open museum’ and a living heritage. Bhaktapur means the city of the devotees. Bhaktapur Durbar Square contains countless temples and architectural showpieces. The Lion Gate, Nyatapola temple, Bhairavnath, Dattatreya, the statue of King Bhupatindra Malla, the picture Gallery, the golden Gate, the 55 Windows Palace, and the Batsala Temple etc are the primary attraction of this Square. The Lion Gate adorned with stone figures of Hanuman, Bhairav and Narasingh Narayan was built during the reign of King Bhupatindra Malla. The golden Gate built by King Ranjit Malla is an entrance to the main courtyard and the palace of 55 windows which is the most beautiful carved specimens. You can also see the Picture Gallery which includes paintings of Hindu and Buddhist schools of Tantrism.
